Postmortem kinda


In the video I explain what I thought went right and improvements I thought of.

What went right

  • Pixel art allowed for quicker art production and more time spent on other tasks.
  • External tools let me match the music and sound effects to the theme of the game.
  • Simple controls are easy to see and easily pick up.
  • Turn based nature allows seamless transition from 2 player to singleplayer.

Can be improved

  • Could add more mechanics, such as water and bridges, movable rocks, or slidy ice.
  • Levels could be organized such that the difficulty curve is more linear.
  • Restart button that only resets one half so one mistake doesn't force both players to restart.

I think the game turned out really well, and with a few more features could be even better!
